Gunny Concept

Gunny belongs to ! Gunny Khnum-Khan is the second son of the third son of the retired admiral Sarv Khnum-Khan; Sarve being one of the most prestigious and decorated admirals of his time. Of course this puts a lot of expectations on the grandchildren of such a legendary figure and leave large boots to fill indeed. Being part of a larger family though also made it easy for some to fall through the cracks. Gunny was one of those children that didn't particularly stand out in any one skill but he was known for his bad attitude all through school and his perchance to cause trouble.

Upon his graduation ceremony at the age of 18, the typical age of graduation for all Orimad youths, his only option for divisions were the merchant marines. The merchant marines of the Orimad are more or less the "foreign exchange" program where you are shipped off to be under the captain of another race and "immerse yourself in a new culture and learn about them" but it was one of worse divisions to get into by Orimad standards and was mostly the nicest way to get "problem Orimads' off the ship until they shaped up. It was because of this that Gunny's first captain, an ostentatious human that had a weakness for the bottle, gave him his name as is tradition of a first captain naming the newly graduated Orimad. As is typical with many merchant marines.... he got a rather odd designation: Gunny.

He spent ten years under the merchant marines before being allowed to return to his home vessel and work five years in a more clerical recruitment job before applying for a privateer licenses. Although many Orimad hate the merchant marines and their more "international" scope, it is only by joining them and rising through the ranks do you get to become a privateer and become a captain of your own small vessel for raiding purposes. Gunny is now a privateer captain, going out into the world and raiding the ships of other races and more or less being paid by the Orimad government under the table to do so. Occasionally, to appease the other races, he is "arrested" by his government but he is always let free in a week to return to his activities as "no evidence were found to convict him". It is more a nudge and a wink with the government, he hands over the materials he raided and they pay him handsomely.

Orimad pirates have a very nice gig if they can show the talent to become one like Gunny.

Also all pirates have pets. Gunny has Fuzzums. A lion spider. He just nibbles crackers and hides in his vest.

ALL orimad have their own power suit. Gunny's powersuit is an older model as privateers tend to not have the most up to date suits. It has climate control, flight control, bathroom, high impact resistance, headlights, night vision, and lasor sword attachment. He also got the music attachment for his helmet to listen to music while going into battle. He is skilled in using his suit, as are most Orimads who are in one of the marine corps.

Gunny tends to avoid going home if only to avoid Cousin "Jojo" and his hello headbutts into his back.
